Sallie Jumpsuit & Maxi Dress Style Inspiration

Happy Friday guys! Thanks for the fabulous response to the Sallie Jumpsuit & Maxi Dress pattern this week. It really feels awesome to realize your ideas don't exist a vacuum, and I'm super happy that this was a pattern some of you were looking and/or waiting for. #secretpajamas for the win.

As usual, I did lots of research when I was working on Sallie so I thought it would be fun to share some styling ideas.

JUMPSUIT INSPIRATION

I really love the wildly different directions a jumpsuit can take you in. A big wild print feels bohemian and summery while sedate solid colours feel super chic and modern. Knits are insanely easy to hack and modify (look ma, no darts) and I'm hoping to see some slashed up and personalized versions in the wild.

MAXI DRESS INSPIRATION

The Sallie dress is probably the easiest thing to throw on in my closet right now. I'm really feeling it dressed down with Converse sneakers but a wow-y print takes it to an evening level with very little effort.

ROMPER HACK

I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I didn't even consider the romper possibilities of this pattern when I was working on it, or else I would have drafted shorts for you! After a few comments hipping me to this reality, I'm going to make one up in the next week or so and share my results with you. These look as refreshing as a popsicle on a hot summer day.
