Kalle & Charlie Now Available in Sizes 14-30!

Amazing news today - we are finally able to offer our bestselling Kalle Shirtdress & Charlie Caftan in our 14-30 size range! We get requests all the time for these two, so we're super happy to add these designs to our extended size range. Best of all, both PDF patterns are 25% off until Sunday, November 8th at midnight EST (details about how to access these updates if you've already purchased the pattern at the end of this post!)

Caftan weather may be behind us, we love how easily Charlie transitions into the cooler seasons when layered over tights with a cozy cardigan! While we kept the overall silhouette and style for Charlie the same, we did make one change to better fit our curvy D cup block: adding a bust dart! The dart is angled into the front bodice which is a bit unconventional but allows for beautiful shaping for the gathered variation, in addition to creating some cool style lines for the pleated variation.

Just like with our 0-20 version, Charlie includes two sleeve options - one for a dramatic, wide dolman sleeve, and a smaller one for more modesty.

Now onto Kalle... one of our all-time best-sellers, this pattern has more options than the sky has stars. With a choice of three plackets, two collars and three hem options, it's one of those patterns that can be made over and over again in endless combinations. Throw in the long sleeve with cuff and tower placket in our Kalle Sleeve pattern expansion (also updated in sizes 14-30) and you've got even more options!

Again, to best fit our D cup block we added a dart, this one placed in the side seam. It's still a loose-fitting silhouette, but the dart helps prevent the front from feeling too baggy with a bigger bust.

The cropped variation has my all-time favourite hem; I love these faced curves! For this sample, we added an inverted pleat at the back and a band colour with the hidden placket.

We experienced a tsunami of customer service messages the last time we re-released older patterns, so I'm hoping to help you troubleshoot any issues here.  Please note that if you've purchased a PDF version of either of these patterns in the past, you will automatically be given access to the pattern in sizes 14-30.

Here's how to access the updated pattern:

• Yesterday we sent an email update from our file host, Send Owl, with an updated download link. If you have purchased a PDF of Charlie or Kalle in the past, please check your inbox for this message. If you don't see that email, check your junk mail or any other email address you may have used to purchase the pattern.
• Still can't find the email? You can get links to any pattern you've ever purchased (including Kalle & Charlie) by entering your email address here at any time.

The beauty of a PDF pattern is the ability to access any update we make to the pattern (in addition to the instant gratification and lower carbon footprint!) Due to the nature of digital products and the logistical challenges involved, going forward we are only able to offer pattern updates to customers who have purchased a PDF pattern. Just like book publishers cannot send updated editions to people who have purchased hard copy books, it is not possible for us to send updates for physical, printed products.
